By setting up a subdomain you can, for example, refer directly to the subdirectory of your online shop (shop.yourdomain.com). You can set up as many subdomains as you need. In the following instructions, you will learn how to set up a subdomain in your customer area at www.checkdomain.net
Attention: If you want to set up a subdomain that directly links to a root directory in your web hosting package
please use these instructions.
On our homepage at www.checkdomain.net, click on "My Login" at the top right and select "Customer Area" to log in.
You will reach the login form where you enter your customer login or e-mail address and your customer password and then click on the "Login" button.
You are now in your customer area. In the left navigation click on the navigation point "Domains".
In the domain overview, select the domain for which you want to set up a forwarding. Click on "Configuration" for the desired domain.
Click on "Subdomains" on the detail page of the desired domain.
To create a new subdomain, click "New Subdomain".
If you want to edit or delete an existing subdomain, click "Edit" on the desired subdomain.
Enter the desired subdomain in the text field here.
Under Forward Destination, enter the desired forwarding to which you want to refer.
Finally, select the desired forwarding type from the pull-down menu.
Confirm your entries by clicking on the "Save" button.
Please note: It can take about 2 - 6 hours until the subdomain is reachable.
