In this tutorial, you will learn how to use SSL to send your emails to Microsoft Outlook Express and then retrieve it.
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is used for the secure transmission of data via e-mail.
The instructions for setting up a mailbox without SSL can be found under the following link:
Select in the upper navigation bar of Outlook the point "Extras" and click there on "Accounts".
The following screen appears:
Click on the "Add" button and an extended menu will open:
Click here on "E-Mail".
Now you will see the following screen:
Enter your name or company name here and click on "Next".
The following screen will appear:
Fill in the fields as shown.
E-mail address: max@mustermann.de
Password: Your password, which you have assigned yourself for the respective mailbox.
And then click "Next".
Now you will see the following screen:
Replace all fields with the information about your e-mail box.
You can also find this in your customer login under "E-mails -> Server information".
Then click on "Next".
You will now see the following screen:
As the account name, use the e-mail login that was used when you created the e-mail mailbox in your customer area on www.checkdomain.net/en and enter the password.
Then click on "Next".
The last screen appears:
All you need to do here is click on "Finish".
Your new e-mail address is now created in Outlook Express and can be used immediately to send and receive emails.
