In this guide, you'll learn how to manage your emails under Windows Live Mail (POP3 and IMAP) and then retrieve it.

First, start the Windows Live Mail program from the Windows Start menu.
You will now be asked if you want to use Windows Live Mail as your default e-mail program.
Here you can simply click on "Yes".
Now click on the text "Add e-mail account" on the right side.
Fill in the fields as shown with your specific data.
Display name: Your name
Your e-mail address: max@mustermann.de
Password: 123456 (was assigned by you when setting up the e-mail mailbox at checkdomain.net/en).
Next, check the box in front of "Manually configure server settings for the e-mail account".
Then click on the "Next" button.
You will now see the following screen:
Enter the details for the server for incoming e-mails here.
If you want to use the "POP3" protocol, select "POP" as the server type.
If you want to use "IMAP", select "IMAP" accordingly.
Fill in the fields as shown.
Next, check the box "Outgoing mail server requires authentication".
Replace all fields with the information about your e-mail box.
You can also find this in your customer login under "E-mails -> "Server information".
As the login ID, use the e-mail login that was used when you created the e-mail mailbox in your
customer area on checkdomain.de has been assigned.
Then click on the "Next" button.
In the following screen, simply click on the "Finish" button.
Your new e-mail address in Windows Live Mail has now been created and can be used immediately to send and receive emails.
