In order to find out which referral link the new customer was referred via, checkdomain uses browser cookie tracking, a reliable standard method.
If a user clicks on your individual recommendation link, the identification code associated with the link is written in a so-called cookie. This small file is stored in the browser of the user who clicked on your recommendation link.
The cookie is valid for 30 days and is overwritten by cookies with the same purpose.
This means for you: Even if the user does not immediately decide in favour of checkdomain, you still have the chance to receive your commission over a period of 30 days.
However, the following applies: Last cookie wins. If in the meantime the user has landed at checkdomain via the referral link of another customer, this last contact counts.
