If you have forgotten your password or your login data for your MySQL database, you can assign a new password in your customer area at any time and have the login data displayed.
Important: If the database is already used for an existing website, the access data to the database must be adapted accordingly in the programming of the website. If this is not done, your website or parts of it will no longer be accessible.
In this manual you will learn how to assign a new password for your MySQL database and where to find your login data for your database.
On our home page at www.checkdomain.net, click on My Login at the top right and select "Customer Area" to log in.
You will reach the login form by entering your customer number or e-mail address and your customer password and then clicking on the "Login" button.
You are now in your customer area. In the left navigation click on the navigation point "Webhosting".
In the following menu, click on the "Databases" button.
Here you can see the relevant MySQL data which is needed to gain access to the database. So database server (localhost), port (3306) and the specific data: Database name and database user.
To assign a new password, click on "Edit" on the right side of the desired database.
To change the password for your MySQL database, enter the desired new password in the text fields.
In the pull-down menu, select whether you wish to receive an e-mail confirmation for the password or not.
Below you confirm the MySQL password with your personal customer password from Checkdomain.net, which you also use for customer login.
Then confirm your entries by clicking on "Save".
