The creation of a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) takes place in two main steps:
- Generation of a digital key (narrow key)
- Assignment of properties to the key
- optional: signature of own key ("self-signed certificate")
Click on the menu item "SSL certificates" on the start page of checkdomain.de.
An overview of the different SSL certificates appears. Click on "Order" for the desired certificate.
In the following screen, select whether your web hosting package is with another provider or with checkdomain.
Now the input mask for the CSR appears. There you can click on the text
"Click here if you need help or a CSR generator" to go to the CSR generator.
The following input mask will appear:
Fill in the fields according to your personal data.
Please note that no umlauts may be used for the location.
After entering the data, click on the "Save" button.
In the following screen copy the key from the text field and save it in a text editor.
Now click on "Save", which inserts the created CSR into the SSL certificate order. If necessary copy it from the text field and save it in a text editor.
