The following instructions will show you how to install an SSL certificate in Courier POP3.
The prerequisite is that SSL support has already been installed.
The certificate and the private key are already present on the server.
private key: /etc/courier/ssl/deinedomain.de.key
Certificate: /etc/courier/ssl/deinedomain.de.crt
Log on to your server.
For Courier-POP3 it is necessary that the certificate and the private key are present in a file.
The following command is used for this:
Open the configuration file /etc/courier/pop3d-ssl with any editor of your choice.
Insert the following line into the configuration:
Then save the configuration and close the editor.
Make sure that the certificate file has only minimal rights.
Restart the Courier POP3 service.
