This guide explains how to install an SSL certificate on a Microsoft IIS 7/8 server.
First, log on to your server as an administrator.
Select Start -> Administration -> Internet Information Services.
Now click on your server name on the left side and double-click on "Server Certificates".
Next, click "Complete certificate request" in the right pane.
In the appearing window search for the certificate (deinedomain.crt) on your PC, assign a name for the certificate and confirm the information with a click on the button "Ok".
The certificate is now installed.
If a message appears that it was not possible to find the certificate request, the certificate could not be assigned to the private key. The reason can be the installation on another server, because the certificate request and the installation of the certificate must always be carried out on the same server.
Simply close this message and reload the certificate list with F5. If the certificate is shown in the list, the installation was successful.
