FileZilla is a modern and powerful FTP program.
Some of the main features are for example:
Recovery of aborted uploads/downloads, firewall support, SSL (Secure Connections), Drag & Drop.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to set up Filezilla for Mac to be able to connect to your FTP server.
Please note that in order to use an FTP program, must have a webhosting package with us. (FTP access data).
Start the program "FileZilla". In our example it is the Version 3.6.0.2.
After the start you will see the following screen:
Click once on the "FileZilla window" to activate it.
Now click on the icon for the server manager.
The following window will open:
Select "My Servers" and click on "New Server" in order to enter your data afterwards.
Now enter your FTP access data, which you will receive via email.
(your access data for the domain ...).
We have used the following data in our example:
Domain name: www.mustermann.de
Login: mustermann
Password: 123456
If completed, it would look as follows: (Please note, that you enter your access data and not our example data).
To set up a connection via "FTPES" (explicit encryption), choose for server type "FTPES - FTP via explicit TLS/SSL".
Then click on the "Ok" button to complete the setup.
