FileZilla is a modern and powerful FTP program.
Some of the main features are for example:
Recovery of aborted uploads/downloads, firewall support, SSL (Secure Connections), Drag & Drop.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to set up FileZilla to be able to connect to your FTP server.
Please note that in order to use an FTP program, must have a webhosting package with us. (FTP access data).
Start the program "FileZilla". In our example it is the Version 3.6.0.2.
After starting, the following screen appears:
Now click on File -> Server Manager
The following window will open:
Here you click on "Own Server" and then on "New Server" to enter your data.
Now enter your FTP access data, which you will receive by email. (your access data for the domain ...). We have used the following data in our example:
Domain name: mustermann.de
Login: mustermann
Password: 123456
If completed, it would look as follows: (Please note, that you enter your access data and not our example data).
To set up a connection via "FTPES" (explicit encryption), choose for encryption "Explicit FTP via TLS required".
Then click on the "Ok" button to complete the setup.
Now you can log in at any time with a click on the server manager connect to your FTP server
