Now you want to upload your homepage and/or data from your hard disk to the domain so that you can view it on the Internet.
Start the program "FileZilla". In our example it is the Version 3.2.7.1.
After the start you get the following screen:
Now connect to your server by clicking on the server manager.
You will see the following screen:
In the right area you see your root directory (htdocs) of your domain and in the left area your hard disk. In the left area we have already selected the directory on our hard disk in which our homepage is located. Please select in the left area the directory on your hard disk in which your homepage is located).
If you now want to transfer your homepage from your hard disk to your domain, you can either move each file individually from left to right or mark all files by holding down the left mouse button and dragging the mouse cursor over all files, then releasing the left mouse button and moving them all at once.
Please make sure that the files are copied into the directory "/htdocs", otherwise the homepage will not be displayed.
If you have transferred the files, you can now see the files you have selected or transferred in the left area. In our example all files have been transferred.
Please make sure that the start page of your homepage has one of the following names:
index.html
index.htm
index.php
If you call up your domain in an Internet browser, you will see your homepage.
