Directory protection can be set up to password-protect individual directories on the web hosting package. This can ensure that only certain users can access the data in this directory.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to deactivate the directory protection set up in your customer area.
On our homepage at www.checkdomain.net/en, click on My Login at the top right and select "Customer Area" to log in.
You will reach the login form by entering your customer number or e-mail address and your customer password and then clicking on the "Login" button.
You are now in your customer area. In the left navigation click on the navigation point "Webhosting".
In the following menu, click on the "Directory protection" button.
In the pull-down menu, select the domain of the web hosting package for which the directory protection should be deactivated.
Next, click the "V" button to the right of the directory protection you want to disable.
Select "Delete" from the expanded menu.
In the following screen, confirm again by clicking on "Delete" that you want to remove the directory protection.
